In the modern United States–the modern world–why bother with writing a blog of all things? With technology at its peak efficiency and being nineteen years old, you’d think there’d be more interesting things to spend my time doing. And I’ll be the first to admit that the only blogs I ever read are usually about a single mom’s backstory leading to a recipe I’m searching for. Despite this idea that blogging is reserved for a select few, I believe that there is a lot to gain and love about writing and sharing it with anyone willing to listen.
For me, writing is a necessity. It is as much a part of my anatomy as my heart and lungs, and it serves a similar purpose. I articulate my thoughts much more naturally through pen and paper than words traveling via mouth and tongue. I’m myself when I write. I know many others feel the same.
“Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”
Robin williams, dead poets society
I’ve created Sage Ingrained to be a place where I can give an honest review and opinion on a variety of novels and authors, to express what it means for many of us who feel like books are an integral part of ourselves, and to share my own writing with you all. I’m here to try to leave joy and meaning in my footsteps.
Wherever you’re at in life, I hope I can be a small part of it. Wherever you’re from, I hope you can find at least one thing to relate to. Whether you’re in college in need of essay assistance, a person who loves to read, or a writer looking for a second set of eyes, this is the place for you!
Sage Ingrained is everything writing, innovation, and creativity–the essence of purpose. With these seeds of support and encouragement planted in the eyes of every reader, I hope that new roots of inventive independence can begin to grow.
